The congregation is Northlake's largest and primary group involved in her music ministry. Authentic, participatory worship by each person present is the goal of our music ministry for every worship service.

Northlake's music ministry is lead by the Adult Choir which is open to any singer eighteen years or older. An auditioned adult vocal ensemble, Sounds of Hope, rehearses weekly and often leads in worship. A rotating group of Praise Singers reinforce the congregational singing in each morning service. These singers, drawn from the Adult Choir, serve on a monthly basis.

Instrumental players, brass, woodwind, string, and percussion, compose an instrumental ensemble that accompanies periodically in worship services. Players with at least high school experience are invited to participate. The auditioned Praise Band accompanies weekly in each morning service. An adult handbell choir rehearses weekly and plays every six weeks in worship services.

Choirs for children, age 4 through 5th grade, meet Sundays and present music in worship, at Christmas, and a spring musical concert, usually in May each year.

Currently, students in 7th-12th grades can sing in Marathon Singers, a student vocal ensemble.

The adult choir presents a musical at Christmas each year and a dramatized Easter Musical, usually presented on Palm Sunday.
